Why "Wait and Sea"
The name started as a family joke and stuck because it turned out to be good advice. This is a house for the kind of week where you stop checking the clock — where you wait, and sea what the day brings. A walk to the pier. A porch nap. A pancake breakfast on Main Street. Nothing you have to do, everything you get to.
The home itself is a classic North Myrtle Beach cottage on the second row, with the deep double porches that give this town its character. We freshened up the inside in seafoam and white so it feels light and easy, but kept the bones — the shutters, the wide deck, the neighborly street — exactly as they should be.
Your hosts
We're a local family that has spent a lot of summers on this stretch of sand, and we look after Wait and Sea the way we'd want our own place looked after. That means clean sheets and stocked cabinets, honest answers about what's nearby, and a quick reply when you need one. We're not a big management company — just people who love this beach and want you to love it too.
We'd rather tell you the truth about a second-row house than oversell an oceanfront view. You'll have a better week for it.
What this home is — and isn't
Wait and Sea is a relaxed, family-friendly beach house for up to ten guests. It's a wonderful base for a family reunion, a golf trip, a girls' week or a multi-generation summer vacation.
It is not an oceanfront resort, and it's not a party house. The street is quiet and residential, and we keep it that way out of respect for the neighbors — so it's ideal if what you want is space, comfort and an easy walk to everything, and a poor fit if you're after a beachfront high-rise or a place to host a big event.
