Main Street in North Myrtle Beach earned a spot on Country Living's list of the best small-town main streets in America, and it's an easy three-block walk from Wait and Sea. Here's how we'd spend an evening on it.

Catch Music on Main

From May through September, the town puts on a free concert series on Main Street every Thursday evening, roughly 7 to 9. Bring a chair, grab something to eat, and settle in with the locals. It's the kind of small-town summer night that's getting hard to find.

Where to eat

For seafood without fuss, Duffy Street Seafood Shack is a Main Street institution. Flynn's Irish Tavern is the spot for a pint and a burger, and if you're up early, the Golden Griddle Pancake House sorts out breakfast for the whole crew. A short drive away, Lucy Buffett's LuLu's pairs Southern coastal plates with live music, a ropes course and an arcade — a whole evening in one stop.
